Spring Collection 2025, Bunnies and Pocket Babies

Spring Collection 2025, Bunnies and Pocket Babies

Introducing our latest seasonal collection, the vernal wee babies and pocket dolls of 2025. Let me show you all the mischief I’ve been up to ☺️🐰.

As I promised last year, I am still having too much fun with the smaller version of the Wee Baby doll pattern, so you’ll excuse me how I go about giving you a few more incarnations of this sweet doll in all manner of “disguises”.

Beginning with the Bunny collection of Spring 2025. These little pink princesses were first asking for knitted skirts. Unfortunately for them, our wool yarn stash is at dangerous low levels so we didn’t have enough colours to pull from.

I tried convincing them to opt for lacy collars but they refused. We hit an impasse.

Then we look at the pile of left-over merino and as we were already making a few grey pocket bunnies, we had the idea of giving them mini-pocket babies. Oh Lord! look at all this cuteness! 🤩.

I have had to keep a close eye on them because mischief hands abound and they suddenly go missing from their baskets…good think I know where to look 😘.

They are so tiny those minis, that we decided to provide them with a wee satchel to be carried more comfortably.

This is almost the same pattern I used to make the mini baskets for the Woolykin dollhouse family. That tutorial also shows you how to make wool felted eggs and carrots should you wish to add to these little dolls basket.

All the Wee Babies and the little pocket babies will be available for adoption on Thursday, February 13th at 3 PM EST (Toronto). You can find them all here: Fig and Me Online Store.

Since it is very early Spring here in Central Portugal, I was inspired to give the chubby pocket babies a little embroidery. I had lots of fun and I think the last time I did them like this was in Mexico back in 2018. My, my. Time certainly flies!

As you can see, there is never a dull moment in this house. But now I shall put these little ones aside and concentrate all my energy on two large dolls. One of the is a custom beauty and the other one will be available for sale. When is that you ask? We just never know…

You can certainly go and check out all these little beauties, they are ready for previews in my shop. You have time to read and inspect and choose which one calls out to you.

I will come back later in the week with some cute photos of last month’s three custom mini figs, I just got a little sick last month and then it was all hands on deck with the little ones. But I think I we should do them justice and post their garden photos here for you to see.

Talk soon, friends.
