Miss Ciara in Her Summer Clothes
Ciara took a stroll through her beloved boreal forest. We managed to snap a few photos before sending her to her new home.
I think Ciara loves hats because she asked for two. A knitted cozy alpaca one and this version in petit lace.
I am so in love with this simple knitting stitch that I hope to create a set of clothing with this lace in mind. I especially love the picot edging on the bonnet, don’t you? I think it compliments the lace very well.
I had actually selected red for these items, including her sandals, seeing as is a favourite colour of her mother. But as is usual with this headstrong girls, she went for this toffee colour and I think she chose wisely.
Her little dress is one of my favourite things lately! I made a wee reel for Instagram as I was sewing it, perhaps you want to check it out.
Right now the forest is covered in blooming Bunchberries, which Ciara seems to love. The Starflowers are on their way out and so is the Canadian Lilly of the Valley.
We managed to snap a few photos of her with the Wintergreen too.
I am so excited to send Miss Ciara to her loving home.
As I like to say: I don’t like sending a doll away until there is one or two in the oven and so for now let me tell you I have two little girls here, inspired by the forest, who will be looking for a home when they are ready.
We are still quite far from introductions but you will start seeing snippets of them via Instagram in the coming days.
So for now we wish Miss Ciara a speedy and safe journey, hoping all her little doll wishes come true!
Thank you so much to her mom for giving me all the space and time in the world to see her come to life. For helping me make important decisions and giving me such beautiful words in which to inspire the creation of this lovely wool child.
I hope she brings you happiness and lots of hours of doll play Lorie! Forever grateful for your support and for inspiring the creation of Miss Ciara.
