Grace, tickle tickle.
Today was all about this most patient child, who has been waiting and waiting, under covers and playing with her toys, for me to finally introduce her and get the rest of her clothes sewn up already.
Grace has not only been the most agreeable child in the land, but she has also been very helpful with the little dolls I made a while ago. She helped me dressed them and contributed with priceless advice regarding their clothing. I shall ever be so grateful my dear Grace, you are worth gold to me!
Now, if you sit still for a little bit longer, I should finish all your little clothes, so that you can promptly jump in your sweet box and go meet your Mom, who like you, has unending patience and has been waiting on the edge of the seat, trying to get a peek at you. The wait is over!
Grace is a natural fiber art doll, inspired by waldorf-style dolls, and she is custom made. She is made with my personal version of the Little Fig doll pattern, has a fully needle-felted head and torso, rolled limbs for ultra firmness and smoothness, embroidered eyes and a cute smile. Her hair is made of dollmaking mohair yarn and mohair weft attached to it, sewn by hand. She has a beautiful wardrobe and if you come back promptly to visit her, you shall see her many clothes. We are having lots of fun sewing buttons and adding cute embroidery details.
