Christmas 2024 Collection: Wee Baby Reindeers and Deers
It’s finally here and I am so happy to have these chatty little ones jumping about in the studio and sort of making a bigger mess.
But now let me tell you a little bit more about them.
These ultra soft and cuddly dolls are made with the usual repurposed woollen sweaters, some in a lovely fair isle, others in a cabled knit. The reindeers have wire inside their antlers so they stay put tall and pride, and all are blushed generously with red beeswax.
The wee collars are sewn-in so they are not removable, as little dolls tend to lose part of their wardrobe most often and I don’t want their necks catching a chill.
These little ones are made with my private version of the Wee Baby Doll Pattern, so if you want to make one similar you can find the e-book here. Sorry that the deer/reindeer option is not available but you will have the instructions to make the doll and with a bit of mischief you can come up with your own antler design and squishy ears 🦌.
They are all looking for a home just in time for the holidays. They are very interested in hearing your particular traditions, as I have been telling them stories of the Three Kings, St. Nicholas, Santa’s Stockings, Sinterklaas, Kissing under the Mistletoe, St. Lucia and celebrating the Winter solstice. I am sure you can elaborate and introduce them to many more!
I hope you were able to welcome one in your home this year and thank you for coming to check them out.
