Those blue eyes
Greta is a natural fiber art doll, requested as a custom order. The inspiration behind her comes from some previous dolls made with long blonde Teeswater locks and those penetrating steel blue eyes. I guess the inspiration might be somewhat the same but the result is always magic!
Now, her Mom requested this custom doll almost at the beginning of the year. I promised her that somewhere around September I would be able to start her creation and I was quite looking forward to it because I always have a lot of fun making dolls for her. She gives me carte blanche and I can create to whatever tune my heart desires, which is so good for me.
Greta is made with my figlette pattern, it it’s smallest version! So I am so happy to have one of these pudgy dolls with me again. She is tiny, cute and full of mischief and I can hardly wait to show you all the shenanigans we get up to.
For now, Greta and I are waiting for her long and luscious locks to dry, so we can finish doing her hair. We have sketched quite a larger-than-usual wardrobe which includes overalls, boots, hats, pyjamas and even a costume. ‘Tis the season we say.
We better hurry or she will have nothing to wear to go trick-or-treating to Grandma’s house.
